MailStreet Operations Engineer
Fort Lauderdale, Florida
e are looking for an Operations Technician for our office in Plantation, Florida.
The applicant should have four plus year's experience supporting a large scale Microsoft Exchange
Server hosted environment with tens of thousands of mailboxes. This position will
work as a member of the Operations Team and assist in supporting all aspects of the environment
including installation and maintenance of numerous Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Forests,
monitoring of backup and disaster recovery scenarios as well as security and growth planning
activities. Additionally, this engineer will be involved in day to day tier
two and three customer support issues that relate to issues with the actual Exchange environment.
4+ years in a technical role
BS/BA or equivalent experience
MCSE or other Microsoft Certifications preferred
Strong experience with Windows Server 2000 and 2003, Active Directory Services and Concepts
Strong experience with Microsoft Outlook (all versions) and related features/funtionality
Strong experience with email protocols and delivery methods, SMTP, IMAP, POP3, MAPI, etc.
Strong experience with DNS concepts
Experience with troubleshooting internet email delivery problems
Knowledge of TCP/IP troubleshooting tools like NSLOOKUP, TELNET, ICMP, etc.
Experience with Microsoft IIS 4.0 and higher
Knowledge of desktop operating systems Windows XP, 2000, NT, 98 and Microsoft Outlook
Experience with remote access tools
Knowledge of or experience working in a web or email hosted environment a plus
Knowledge of call-tracking and helpdesk systems
Understanding of SAN concepts/Technologies
MailStreet Support Engineer
Fort Lauderdale, Florida
The Support Engineer will provide customer support and
technical assistance via phone and remote access tools.
In this position, you will research, troubleshoot and aid
in the resolution of reported client issues. Additionally,
you will work with a variety of MailStreet staff members to
insure positive resolution of the clients' issues.
Requirements include:
3 + years in a technical support role
Knowledge of or experience working in a web or email hosting environment
Knowledge of Windows XP, 2000, NT, 98 and Microsoft Outlook
Experience with remote access tools (Dialup networking, RAS, Citrix, PCA etc.)
Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server 2000 or 2003, SQL 6.5, 7.0 and 2000
General networking knowledge
Knowledge of call-tracking and helpdesk systems
BS/BA preferred
