Boundary Defense for Email

Email threats have evolved, going beyond viruses and spam alone. Spammers are getting more sophisticated, and spam/virus blocking is becoming more complicated. The Boundary Defense for Email service provides protection for your business from email-borne threats and offers protection from known and unknown viruses and established and emerging spam techniques. Boundary Defense for Email also identifies and controls confidential, malicious, or inappropriate email content from being sent to or received by your organization.

Physical Security

MailStreet servers are protected 24 hours a day 7, days a week by on-site security personnel. Physical security is handled by secure card-key access to facilities, requirement of personal photo ID, as well as lock and key access to server cages. In addition, the premises are controlled by a sophisticated on-site security infrastructure consisting of closed-circuit surveillance cameras and electronic tracking systems to ensure the highest level of physical security to the MailStreet network.

Secure Account Provisioning

MailStreet utilizes secure provisioning of customer mailboxes. This allows for secure creation of organizational units, mailboxes, and security policies for each MailStreet information store database. This means that customers only have permission to objects inside of their organizational unit, and that they are automatically protected from unauthorized access from users outside of their organization.

Network Security

MailStreet employs a variety of network monitoring tools both—hardware and software-based to monitor hacker, mail-bomb, virus, and denial-of-service attacks. Through this combination of firewall and intrusion detection systems, we monitor the safety of our network 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Trail/Journaling Capability

For customers in the Healthcare, Legal, and Finance industries, MailStreet can provide audit-trail mailboxes that capture every incoming and outgoing message for auditing and compliance capability. Certain minimum storage and mailbox requirements may apply. Contact a MailStreet Technical Sales Representative for more information.
