Mailstreet Voice Requirements

There are certain technical requirements needed to use the MailStreet Voice service.

Disaster Recovery Backups

Our engineers have a comprehensive disaster recovery plan, including nightly disaster recovery backups. This approach provides the ultimate in security and peace of mind for all MailStreet clients and also decreases the impact of backup sessions on server performance. MailStreet stores 14 days of disaster recovery backup history. For customers who have a need for archiving, or have specific data retention and backup needs, MailStreet offers a comprehensive Archiving and Compliance Solution.

Anti-Virus/Hacker Protection

Our Microsoft Exchange servers are constantly monitored for viruses and hacker attacks. Using a variety of specialized network monitoring tools, intrusion detection and anti-virus software, we go the extra mile to ensure your MailStreet account is safe and running smoothly. Virulent attachments and message bodies are deleted before they get to your inbox.

Tier IV Data Center

MailStreet servers are hosted in a state of the art, Tier IV, carrier-neutral facility. This means that our data centers are composed of multiple active power and cooling distribution paths, have redundant components, and are fault tolerant, providing 99.9% availability. This facility is fully redundant in terms of connectivity and power, and employs state-of-the-art security and fire-prevention systems.

Written Service Level Agreement (SLA)

Our service level agreement guarantees in writing a 99.9% uptime guarantee.

Redundant Hardware Architecture

Our hosted Exchange infrastructure runs in a front-end/back-end configuration. Our load-balanced front-end servers handle incoming SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS, RPC, RPC over HTTP, and Wireless connections. This protects back-end Exchange servers from attack. All Exchange information stores run on back-end servers which connect to an integrated EMC fiber-based Storage Area Network (SAN). This architecture is redundant in nearly every aspect and allows us to seamlessly add capacity as needed, without causing downtime to existing customers.

7 Days of Deleted Messages

Our exchange servers are configured to store at least 7 days of deleted messages, calendar items, contacts, public folders and other Outlook data. We take this extra step to ensure our customers always have access to the information they need. This means that you can recover deleted items for up to 7 days, using the Outlook and Outlook Web Access.
